Our core programs are:
Exhibits - a traveling exhibit program available to small museums and community organizations in rural Washington Grants - funding for humanities programs at museums, cultural organizations, schools, heritage societies, and libraries, and for documentary filmmakers Inquiring Mind - a catalogue of speakers and living history presentations available to community organizations Motheread - a statewide family reading and literacy program
Our Special Programs include
Salon Events - Humanities events with Bedtime Stories Authors, the Poet Laureate, and museum curators. Humanities Washington Award - given in memory of Heather C. Frank, annually to an individual or organization for exemplary contributions to the humanities in Washington state Bedtime Stories - our annual fundraising gala, an evening of food, wine and words to support our family literacy program Motheread/Fatheread, and hailed as "the region's premier literary event" Poet Laureate - a collaborative project with the Washington Poets Association and the Washington State Arts Commission Washington Stories - a special exhibit project in collaboration with the Ethnic Heritage Council of the Pacific Northwest
