For the 2008-2009 season, Humanities Washington will pay special attention to topics relating to:
Humanities Washington extends thanks to the Office of the Secretary of State for their support of this program in alignment with their efforts in voter education, civic engagement, Washington history and archives, and the State library.
Special thanks to Secretary of State Sam Reed, to Representatives Sherry Appleton, Pat Lanz, Larry Seaquist, and Mary Skinner and to Senators Jim Honeyford, Jeanne Kohl-Welles, Ed Murray, and Phil Rockefeller for their leadership in securing this first-ever state funding, and to all those Representatives and Senators who offered both their support and input on the specific needs of communities.
