World of the Shipwright

Grant Sponsored Events 
"World of the Shipwright: From Wood to Fiberglass" is showing at the Whatcom Museum of History and Art until July 27 in Bellingham. An exhibit of Photographer Percy Manser's work is open until July 6 in Goldendale. The Inland Northwest Community Access Network presents a debut of their video project "Small Town Museums: Reflections on Community Life" on June 26 in Spokane. And National Book Award finalist Deb Caletti reads on Lopez Island on June 28.

Family Reading Programs
Humanities Washington presented Judy Trefethen of Wenatchee with the 2008 Humanities Washington Award for the tremendous work she has done to improve education and literacy in our state through the Motheread/Fatheread family literacy program. The award ceremony and reception was held at the Yakima Valley Museum on June 5.

The Smithsonian Museum on Main Street traveling exhibit Key Ingredients: America by Food is open in Hoquiam at the Polson Museum until July 20. Look for it in Vancouver on July 26 at the Clark County Historical Museum.
