Fishing and Trade Technology: A Quinault Tradition
Ocean Shores Interpretive Center - Ocean Shores
The Ocean Shores interpretive Center is developing a new permanent exhibit of fishing technology used by the Quinault Indian Nation. The exhibit will incorporate drawings, photos, diorama and a collection of stone artifacts.

Clark's Campsite
Friends of the Columbia River Gateway - Ilwaco
A living history program, Clark's Campsite is a three day program which brings the past alive and enrich the public's understanding of the Lewis and Clark Expedition using re-enactors portraying members of the Corps of Discovery.

James W. Washington, Jr. in Context

Funds from this grant will help hire a consultant to develop and plan a Storytelling Festival as part of the Oroville Centennial Celebration in the summer of 2008.

Funds will be used for technical assistance in developing a program to bring a variety of art forms to the elderly poulation of Port Townsend.

Refugee Artvocacy
International Rescue Committee - Seattle
Funds will go toward venue space at Capital Hill Art Center for Refugee Artvocacy, a refugee cultural Celebration to raise awareness of the refugee Community that have been resettled in W. Washington.

Timberland Reads Together: A Reading of Willa Cather's My Antonia

The community served by the Yelm Timberland Library will be participating in this year's "Timberland Reads Together" project, in which citizens throughout the five counties served by the Timberland Regional Library will be invited to read and discuss My Antonia.

Reading and Discussion of "Citizen Vince" by Jess Walter

Jess Walter will be reading and discussing the themes of his book "Citizen Vince" as part of the "one community one book" program for Spokane County: Spokane is Reading.

May Nasr Performances at Arab Festival 2007

Lebanese singer May Nasr will be performing at the Arab Festival 2007. Her participation marks two exciting firsts for the festival. Nasr will be the first performer brought from the Middle East for the event and she will be the first female headliner in the history of the event.

2007 Reading Adventure Program (R.A.P.)
Black Historical Society of Kitsap County - Bremerton
Created in 1987, the Reading Adventure Program has served around 75 students ages 4 and up with a summer reading program that draws upon the traditions, arts, and the rich heritage of blacks while promoting cultural awareness and reading enrichment.

American Legends at the Library

This Island Frontier

Funds will go toward the designer fabricator fees for creating the new comprehensive permanent exhibit "This Island Frontier".

Still Standing
Clymer Museum of Art - Ellensburg
Funds will be used to cover general costs of the exhibit entitled "Still Standing". In conjunction with the Kittitas Historical Museum and a local photographer and barnologist Douglas MacArthur the exhibit will document many of the local barns that are 'Still Standing'.
