Quick Grants are available to small community-based organizations for program planning or public presentations. Quick Grants do not require a funding match and organizations can request up to $500. Quick Grant applications are reviewed by Humanities Washington staff and may be submitted online year-round.
How to Apply for a Quick Grant
Applications should be submitted at least eight weeks before the public humanities presentation or start of the project planning.
The authorizing official for the organization must complete the application. The authorizing official is the representative of the applicant organization, usually the president of the Board, executive director or project organizer, who has the authority to submit the grant application on behalf of that organization.
Prior to starting the online application, please gather the following information:
Organization name
Project title
Congressional district in which the project or presentation will take place
Location of the city in which the project or presentation will take place
Project summary (a description of 50 words or less)
Start and end dates for the project or presentation
Project budget (with detailed list of how Humanities Washington funds will be used)
Project Description (a description of 500 words or less detailing your project goals and intended audience)
Applications are reviewed and award letters sent within four weeks of the submission of the application. Funded activity may begin any time after award notification. Grant funds are paid after the event or project has taken place and Humanities Washington has received the final evaluation for the project.
