Ways to Alleviate Costs
There are a number of ways to alleviate the costs of booking an Inquiring Mind speaker.

You may ask for donations at the door or charge a fee to those attending an Inquiring Mind presentation or you may partner with other organizations in your community or surrounding communities to bring an Inquiring Mind speaker in for multiple presentations. For instance, a speaker may give a presentation in your town, as well as towns in the neighboring county. The organizations can share the speaker travel costs, making the overall cost of the program less than it would be if one organization paid for the travel costs. You may request a printout of possible partnering organizations in your county and surrounding counties by calling (206) 682-1770.

In addition, you may find a local business or community college that is interested in sponsoring a speaker or a speaker series in your community. In cases of great need, you may apply for a Quick Grant to pay for speaker honorarium, travel costs, and your administrative costs.
