An Evening of Humanities at MOHAI
Go behind the scenes at Seattle’s Museum of History and Industry. Join MOHAI Executive Director Leonard Garfield for an evening of history, conversation, and light refreshments. The night will include a private tour of MOHAI's extensive archives and collections. Each guest receives a personally selected hand printed photograph from the MOHAI collection.

Salon Evening with Daniel Orozco in Walla Walla
Salon evening featuring Bedtime Stories author Daniel Orozco. His work has appeared in the Best American Essays, Best American Short Stories, Best American Mystery Stories and Pushcart Prize anthologies and in Harper’s Magazine, McSweeney’s, Zoetrope and other magazines.  He is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship and teaches in the Creative Writing Program at the University of Idaho. The evening will be hosted by board member Dan Lamberton, Humanities Chair at Walla Walla University.

Burke Museum Tour
A behind the scenes tour of the Burke Museum in Seattle with Executive Director Julie Stein. She will show you and your friends areas of the museum normally closed to the public including Ethnology, Geology, Mammalogy, Ornithology and Archeology. The Burke Museum is dedicated to creating a better understanding of the world and our place in it. The museum is responsible for Washington State collections of natural history and cultural heritage, and for sharing the knowledge that makes them meaningful. Includes a free pass to the museum.

Walking Tour of Seattle’s International District
Take a behind the scenes walking tour of Chinatown / ID, hosted by former director of the Wing Luke Museum, Ron Chew. In 1991, Chew was hired as the Executive Director for the Wing Luke Asian Museum, and transformed it from a struggling artifact-based museum into an award-winning center based on collaborative projects with the region's diverse Asian/ Pacific Islander communities. Chew was appointed by President Bill Clinton to the National Council on the Humanities in 2001. Includes a free pass to the Wing Luke Museum.

Playwright Keri Healey
Enjoy lively discussion about the process of creating, rehearsing and performing a brand new play, with Bedtime Stories author Keri Healey, a Seattle playwright, director and actor. Her work includes the plays One Twelve, Cherry Cherry Lemon and Penetralia. Cherry Cherry Lemon was cited as Best Production in Seattle’s The Stranger’s “Best Seattle Theatre” list of 2001. In 2004, she was chosen by Seattle Dramatists as one of its five inaugural Principal Playwrights. In 2005, she was selected by The Stranger as “One to Watch” in their annual Genius Awards issue. She and host A.J. Epstein of Ethereal Mutt Ltd theatre productions will share stories from the field, onstage and backstage.
