SEATTLE – A crowd of more than 275 people gathered in the Spanish Ballroom of The Fairmont Olympic Hotel Friday, Oct. 12, for Humanities Washington’s 14th annual Bedtime Stories event. The literary gala featured the debut of new work from critically acclaimed Northwest authors Kathleen Flenniken, Charles Johnson, Kevin O’Brien and Amy Wheeler; the evening’s emcee was Nancy Pearl.

Counting sponsorships, ticket sales and night-of donations, the event raised more than $130,000 to support Humanities Washington’s work sparking conversation and critical thinking in communities across our state using story as a catalyst. Thank you to our donors for your generosity!

Humanities Washington would like to express deep gratitude to the extremely talented group of authors who invested their time and talent to make this event so special. Many thanks, also, to honorary event chair Martha Kongsgaard.
