Event Description

Join the Center for Washington Cultural Traditions for a free, fun celebration of Yakima Valley community traditions! “Culture, Craft, & Community” is a family-friendly event that will feature performances, demonstrations, exhibitors, local foods, and more.

The day’s events include a performance by the Yakama Nation’s Iksiks Washanal’a “The Little Swans”, traditional Filipino dance presented by the Filipino American Community of the Yakima Valley, a QuinceaƱera fashion show by L.A. Styles, music by Gone Fiddling Again, and more!

This celebration comes after months of research, interviews, and work with local community leaders and artists in support of traditional culture in the Yakima Valley. Learn more about the ongoing Yakima Valley Cultural Traditions Survey at www.waculture.org.
