Washington State Poet Laureate Rena Priest will be conducting a workshop and presentation for a group of 25 UW undergraduate students around the theme of writing poetry with children (2nd – 5th graders). This workshop will be open to anyone who wants to observe it.
The students are part of a UW/Riverways project that connects them with elementary students in rural and tribal communities around Washington state. The UW students will be writing poetry with these children during the week of March 21-25 as part of their Alternative Spring Break.
