Bedtime Stories is a yearly literary celebration in which Northwest writers unveil original short stories created for the event.
The events take place in Seattle and Spokane each year in October, and proceeds go toward Humanities Washington’s mission of sparking conversation and critical thinking throughout the state. National Book Award winner Charles Johnson has called Bedtime Stories “the region’s premier literary event.” In 2017, Bedtime Stories Seattle will take place on October 6 and Bedtime Stories Spokane on October 27.
Registration for Seattle Bedtime Stories is now open. Purchase tickets, sponsor a table, or register as a guest at a hosted table.
Registration for Spokane Bedtime Stories will open on October 7.
The Bedtime Stories fundraiser has included prominent Northwest novelists like Tom Robbins, Jess Walter, Charles Johnson, Jamie Ford, David Guterson, and Garth Stein, to Washington Poets Laureate Tod Marshall, Sam Green, Kathleen Flenniken, and Elizabeth Austen.
