Out of concern for the health of communities across the state, we and our partners have canceled all in-person Humanities Washington events. However, we are holding numerous livestreamed events. Find them on our calendar.
Our Think & Drink events are hosted conversations at pubs and tasting rooms on provocative topics and new ideas.
Experts, artists, and activists from a variety of disciplines participate in a moderated discussion, with a strong emphasis on audience participation. Past events tackled topics from consumerism to political polarization, geoengineering, race in the Pacific Northwest, and many more, and sparked lively conversation about morality, religion, history, and politics. Events are held periodically throughout the year in Seattle, Spokane, Tacoma, Yakima, the Tri-Cities, and Bellingham.
This program is made possible with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Satterberg Foundation, and the Norcliffe Foundation.
